Need help preparing for an audition or refining your approach to a role? Following a phone consultation and discussion of great audition material choices, each coaching session will include:
- Taking a detailed look at the text together
- Helping you make specific, fun, engaging choices
- Determining the best ways to showcase your strengths and how they apply to each different audition context
- Encouraging you to play, explore, and build confidence
My approach to coaching is informed by my background and training as both an actor and a director, and rooted in a deep understanding of script analysis, actors’ working process, and NYC theatrical industry standards. I acted in professional theatre for over 15 years, and am a member of AEA. I am a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, trained at Atlantic Theater Company Acting School, and have studied a range of acting/theatre approaches and techniques, including Practical Aesthetics, Laban Movement Analysis, Viewpoints, Shakespeare text analysis, dramaturgy, voice/speech, movement improvisation, and teacher/director Karen Kohlhaas’s monologue audition technique.
